After a 3 year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Dundalk Garden Centre is proud to announce that they will be hosting their 6th annual ‘Gardening Day Out’ on Saturday the 27th of May from 10am!

Just over 46 years ago The Dundalk Garden Centre opened it’s doors for the first time. Started by Robert ‘Mickey’ Cox and today continued by his daughters Jacqui and Nicola, this Dundalk institution has delighted in serving it’s town and community.

We feel that with big national and international events such as Bloom and the Chelsea Flower Show coming up over the next few weeks, now is the perfect time to bring a little bit of that buzz to the local community.

Dundalk Garden Centres Gardening Day Out will feature free demonstrations and workshops by industry experts throughout the day and a wide range of special offers available on the day.

Meet the Alpacas

Our wonderful wooly friends, Proudlock and Perkey from Long Acre Alpacas will be joining us from 2pm to 5pm. These tall, gentle and wooly animals are wonderful to be around so why not swing by to say hello!

Rose Clinic

Setting aside a day from his hectic agenda, John McNamara, a seasoned rose grower, will generously impart his expert advice and techniques for growing healthy beautiful roses.

Summer Baskets Demonstration

If you’re uncertain about how to introduce vibrant hues to your garden, our hanging basket demonstration offers an ideal starting point! Join us at 12pm on May 27th to gain valuable insights into enhancing your gardens colour pallette.

Seed Planting for Children

A fun workshop on seed planting for the budding gardeners! All attendees will have the opportunity to make a pot, plant a seed to take home with them and watch it blossom into a beautiful plant.

Fresh pancakes and specialty coffee

If you find yourself in need of a delicious snack during our Gardening Day Out on May 27th, Lá eile will be there to cater to your cravings with their specialty pancakes and coffee. They will be serving these delectable treats all day long!

Raffle in Aid of Irish Cancer Society

Continuing our tradition, we are delighted to host our marvelous raffle in support of the Irish Cancer Society. Make sure to visit us, grab your raffle ticket and view the splendid prizes on offer.
